Do you ever get to a point in life where you just need something different? You need to let your creativity flow, but you’ve been following the same routine for a while? That’s where I was this summer. We typically aren’t as busy during the summer season as it is 9 billion degrees and humid in Florida. It’s always the season where I rethink everything, update our brand, and get my documents in order. This summer, we did all of that and more at Dickson Azalea Park.
Every portrait session client of ours receives a style guide to help them plan for their session. It provides outfit suggestions, color choices, locations, and helpful hints. Awesome, right? But, my guide didn’t have photos, only text. Crazy for a photographer, I know. Many of my clients dress to the nines, but I still needed some key pieces for this to all come together. I had a vision of taking models to a dreamy garden and letting my creativity out.
That’s where Tamir, Ellie, and Amanda came in. I had this vision and I knew that these three ladies could make it come true. First off, just look at them! They are stunning and can pull off any look. The trio are also local actors and were up for anything I threw their way. They have such amazing personalities and would just light up that garden. They were the perfect three to have. When I explained what I was looking for, the stars aligned to make EVERYONE available the same day and time. SO rare in the theatre world!
The ladies, Jack, Rocky, and myself went out to one of our favorite locations: Dickson Azalea Park. There is so much variety out there! All three had a casual, date night, and formal look for our session. They worked as the best team, switching places and outfits like clockwork and ensuring we stayed on pace for sunset. The ladies kept us laughing the entire time and were troopers through the heat and humidity. Amanda brought along a fan from a show she just closed and was keeping everyone cool!
Tamir, Ellie, and Amanda made my dreams come true this summer and I couldn’t have asked for a better team. We are working on finalizing our visual style guide and we can’t wait to share with you at the end of the year!
