I kicked off my 2018 engagement season with the sweetest couple at the gorgeous Kraft Azalea Gardens. Paige reached out to me back in October and we made plans to meet on a Saturday morning. After a missed alarm and cracking some jokes, we finally were able to meet at a local Starbucks. I instantly had a couple crush on her and Mike. They were laid back, stress free, and had a love of college football. They were even planning their date around the Ohio State football season for 2018. From the moment I heard these details, I knew they were the ones.
I met Paige and Mike at the gardens on one of the colder days of January in Florida. They were fine, having moved here from Ohio not long ago, but I was freezing! The first thing we saw when we walked up were the enormous white pillars creating the entrance way into the park. I knew they picked a beautiful location just from that moments. When they walked me to the bench area with towering pillars enclosing the area, I about lost it. Their love was going to radiate at this venue.
I always cherish seeing the reaction from the bride to be when I ask the groom to whisper something to her that he knows will make her laugh. This is a tactic I try to do in the beginning of any couple’s session to help them relax and feel comfortable in front of the camera. Paige and Mike did not disappoint. The huge smile she had on her face from that moment until the end of her session brought out the true love they have for each other.
Paige and Mike were such a blast on their session. They were so full of laughter and jokes. Mike was such a trooper learning the proper way to lift (he nailed it, by the way). He also perfected his dip by the end. I am so excited to see them get married this October!
