Ahhh my last session of the year is finally here! I seriously cannot believe that 2020 is almost over and we are leaving the holiday season. Last week, I met up with the Greenleaf family for an extended family session in Oviedo. You may recognize a few from this crew, as they have been in our lives for the past year and a half! Time is seriously flying, which is why it was so important for the Greenleaf family to be together for this Oviedo family session.
Suzi and Rob first came into our lives in June of 2019 when their little boy, Gentry, came into the world! I met them (and some of the Greenleaf crew!) for the first time at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Gentry’s Fresh 48 session. A few weeks later, Jack and I had an in-home lifestyle newborn session with the trio. This June, Gentry turned one and we weren’t going to not let him have his first birthday session, despite the craziness of the world! Socially distant, Gentry had such a blast crawling around the gorgeous property in Oviedo of family friend, Teri. He had the cutest dinosaur cake smash session and brought me out of my 2020 funk!
Suzi reached out to me back in September and told me that her sister and her family were able to come back to the States from Italy for the holidays. Her husband has been stationed there for a few years, so they hadn’t been able to meet Gentry yet! Everyone would finally be together again, and they wanted to have an extended family session to capture the moment. Plus, they’d be going back to that gorgeous property in Oviedo!! I was IN! We made arrangements and I was so pumped to finally meet the whole crew!
December finally rolled around, and the Greenleaf family became my last session of 2020. I had just seen Suzi, Rob, and Gentry in June, but as soon as they stepped out of the car, I couldn’t believe my eyes. It felt like Gentry grew a whole foot (not 100% accurate, but you never know with this year!). The younger girls who I had met at Gentry’s Fresh 48 session had grown so much too. It really solidified WHY I tell people to update their photos so often. Time really flies!
The entire Greenleaf extended family is just so freaking sweet. Every single one of them went with the flow and enjoyed just being together. The laughter was non-stop from all the families that were in attendance. We had some tickle fights, piggy back rides, and a very difficult time trying to figure out who was the favorite of the crew. It really melted my heart to see everyone together and enjoying their time. If 2020 taught me anything, it’s that you really don’t know what can happen tomorrow, and you have cannot take any moment for granted. I am so happy I got to witness the Greenleaf family finally being able to come together for the holidays.
Suzi and the entire Greenleaf family, thank you for trusting me with these moments. You know I absolutely adore you and treasure every session I get with you guys! Take a peek into their Oviedo family session below and leave them some love!
