Guys. Today’s blog is going to blow your socks off. Why?? Because this baby shower has the most amazing theme and venue!!
Meeting the Family
A few days before Christmas, I received the sweetest message from Laura. She was referred to us by one of our second photographers and good friend, Brittany! Laura and her husband, Jeff, were expecting their first child, a baby girl named Lily. She explained that they were planning a travel themed baby shower because her and her husband had explored over 100 countries together. It was a huge part of their relationship!
Laura sent me pictures of her personalized passports and boarding pass invitations. She also showed me their venue: AN ACTUAL AIRPLANE HANGER IN TITUSVILLE. What??? That was it. I immediately said yes and we were on our way to celebrating this sweet family and baby-to-be!!
The Decor
My dear friend Peggy drove out to Titusville with me for the baby shower since Jack was working. For those who don’t know the state of Florida, Titusville is where Kennedy Space Center is located and where all of the launches happen! The baby shower took place at the Valiant Warbird Museum which is home to vintage aircrafts and airplane hangers. How awesome is that?? Small planes flying over our heads made us realize the venue was also an active runway!
Entering the airplane hanger, adorable pink travel decor hit us right away. Every typical baby shower area had it’s own unique name: In Flight Snacks, Fuel Station, Passport Photos, Luggage Drop Off, Baggage Claim, and Itinerary! Decorating the diaper cake were small travel items such as a passport, compass, and luggage, as well as a globe! Personalized travel signs guided guest through the venue. As we were admiring the decor, Laura came out from the back room and oh my goodness. She is seriously the most adorable mom-to-be ever. Laura has such a bubbly and sweet personality. Her husband, Jeff, was so welcoming and kind as well! They made sure we were comfortable with everything going on and let us do our thing.
The Baby Shower: “Our Greatest Adventure”
Guests started flooding in to the venue. Laura and Jeff stood at the front of the hanger welcoming each and every friend. Every guest was gushing over the decor and the amazing family. On the Luggage Drop Off table, personalized gifts were left for Lily, including an airplane made of diapers! The children ran through the venue playing with the toy airplanes while the adults played the raffles and ate food. The photo booth was a hit for all ages and they got to take home small prints customized for the event!
For the first event of the day, Laura and Jeff teamed up with two friends (one with a child and one without) to see if the men or women could dress their babies first. While blindfolded!! Laura’s team were firecrackers and won the game, but Jeff was faster than Laura and made sure she knew! Then, the Valiant Warbird Museum staff took the guests on a tour of the hangers while we took some family photos in front of the airplanes outside.
When the guests came back from their tour, the first prize was given out! A baby bottle was filled with pink Hershey Kisses and guests guessed how many were in the bottle. The closest number won the chocolate! Then, Laura and Jeff held a raffle for guests who brought diapers to the shower. The winner (a precious little girl) claimed a movie night basket!
At the end of the shower, all of Laura and Jeff’s guests gathered in front of the large airplane near the runway for a photo. Seeing so many people celebrating Lily melted my heart! Guests collected luggage favors at the Baggage Claim table and headed on their way.
Travel Themed Baby Shower | Scabarozi Family
Laura and Jeff, we absolutely LOVED being a part of your greatest adventure. Lily was honored by an amazing group of friends and family. Every detail you put into this shower will never be forgotten and it was such a special day. We can’t to meet Miss Lily in March!! Take a peek into their special day!
"We had previously experienced Haleigh's work at my brother's wedding and we knew we had to have her for our wedding as well! Haleigh is an exceptionally gifted photographer and as we viewed the wedding album we got more and more excited about each wonderful moment that was perfectly captured. We loved how easy it was to work with Haleigh and all of the fun and creative ideas that she had to create some truly special pictures. Haleigh actually came up to the DC area for us - not once, but twice (engagement and wedding pics)! And yet despite the distance, it was really and truly easy to work with her."

"Haleigh and Jack are two of the most amazing, sincerest individuals that I have ever worked with! We adore them so much and they made my fiancé and I feel like pros while taking pictures. We had initially had our engagement pictures taken by someone else and they were really disappointing, so we turned to Haleigh and Jack and they made us feel so comfortable, had a BLAST (who knew taking pictures in the Florida heat could be fun?!), and our photos turned out so much more than amazing. We have found our forever photographer and we are so grateful to have had the experience to work with Haleigh and Jack (and of course Rocky, too!)"

""Haleigh and Jack are amazing! They had our wedding date available only three months out and their prices are ridiculously reasonable. They both take such amazing photos and Haleigh goes out of her way to make you feel special and pamper you a little bit. She even has an exclusive FB page for her brides where we all share tips and ask questions. Their photos are incredible and their post processing really gave us the feeling we were looking for in our photos. Plus, we got our photos back in less than two weeks! Lastly, my new husband isn’t the most social in the world and was nervous about having someone in his ready room but Jack made him totally comfortable and they got along great.""
