Hey moms! Are you looking for the best places to go with your little ones? If you like the warm sun, aquatic life, and tons of fun, then keep reading to find the best things to do in Clearwater with toddlers! Check out below several places that are perfect to explore with the littles!
Sand Key Park is one of my FAVORITE places in Clearwater. This beautiful park is not just a park, it is also a beach with so many fun things to do in Clearwater with toddlers. In the park section, there are picnic areas, grills, a playground, bathrooms, and even a place where the little four-legged friends can run. There is a boardwalk with a chance to view the horned owls and herons flying about. How cool!
At the beach access, there are outdoor showers and bathrooms. You also have the opportunity to rent cabanas and umbrellas so you do not have to lug it all to the sand! To gain access to the beach, there is a pay station in the parking lot that costs $5 for the day. Besides swimming, there is an opportunity to rent kayaks and bicycles if you enjoy different activities throughout the day. For a fun day outside, Sand Key Park truly has it all!
Let’s take a dive into the Clearwater Marine Aquarium as one of the fun things to do in Clearwater with toddlers. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium has been in operation for 50 years, and there is so much to discover! There are marine animals to see including dolphins, otters, sea turtles, stingrays, and even sharks! There are several exhibits that showcase aquaponics, a theater show, and a kid’s zone where kids can play games, do crafts, and listen to storytime. A day at the aquarium starts around $37 for adults and $27 for kids ages 3 to 12 years old. The best part is that kids under two are free! Be sure to check before you go about the operation hours of the aquarium as well as reservations.
Climb aboard the “Little Toot” for a ride around the beautiful Clearwater waters and the Gulf of Mexico. This one-of-a-kind tour guarantees seeing dolphins while out on the water, so what could be a more exciting way to spend the day doing fun things in Clearwater with toddlers?! This boat ride is kid-friendly and normally lasts between 60 to 90 minutes. While on the “Little Toot” there are bathrooms and the opportunity to purchase drinks. The boat is equipped to see dolphins at all angles so you and your little ones can get up close and personal with dolphins. The cost for adults is around $25, around $18 for children ages 3 to 12, and kids under two are free. Be sure to make a reservation so you are guaranteed a spot for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see dolphins in their natural habitat!
Grab your bathing suits and sunscreen as there are so many fun things to do in Clearwater with toddlers and the entire family! Have a blast!
