Things to Do with Toddlers in St. Petersburg

Whether a tourist or a local, finding things to do with toddlers in St. Petersburg is pretty easy! In this area, there are so many adventures out there waiting for you!

St. Petersburg has plenty of things to do to keep your little ones busy, interested, and educating them if you so choose. Here are some of my top recommendations of fun things to do with your little ones in St. Petersburg, Florida…

4 Things To Do With Toddlers In St. Petersburg, FL:

Beach day

St. Petersburg is filled with beautiful beaches where you and your family can sit back, relax, and make sandcastles for the day! If you’re visiting from a different state that doesn’t have nearby beaches, this should be your first order of business! Pick up a new boogie board and head out into the ocean for some family bonding! After you’re done boogie boarding, get your sand toys together and create a killer sandcastle!

Fort De Soto Park

If you and your family love to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and you’re looking for something interactive and cheap to do, this is the place for you! With over 1,000 acres of flourishing plant life and interactive forts and museums, this is a great place to bring your little ones for the day and burn out their energy. You can enjoy playing in historic forts and museums, go swimming, enjoy a nice bike ride, or put on your hiking boots! Feeling a little more adventurous than just a day of fun? You can actually spend the night camping here by their waterfront view!

Sunken Gardens

This botanical garden is filled with plants from all around the world, beautiful waterfalls, pink flamingos, and lots of tropical flowers. Learn about the different kinds of wildlife, plants and cool off in the flowing waterfalls while taking some unforgettable pictures of you and your family.

Lowry Park Zoo

This 60-acre park features some of the world’s most beautiful exotic animals that your little ones can learn about, watch in their natural habitat, and even feed them some of their favorite snacks! This zoo features tigers, manatees, monkeys, rhinos, giraffes, elephants, and all your other kids’ favorite animals! In addition, your family can even take a safari ride through their most popular animal exhibits and catch a show that teaches your little ones about the wildlife!
