Unicorn Theme First Birthday

Hey friends! I know it’s been a while, but I am back after a brief COVID-19 hiatus! And honestly? I can’t think of a better way to come back than with Lilly’s first birthday blog. This unicorn themed first birthday is not what we all had hoped, but worked out so much better than we could have imagined in this pandemic.

If you’ve been following me for at least the past year, you will DEFINITELY remember this sweet family! From their travel themed baby shower to Lilly’s now first birthday, I have had the most amazing opportunities with the Scabarozi family! They truly have become a second family to me. Unfortunately, it was right at Lilly’s first birthday that COVID-19 started becoming more serious here in Florida.

Laura and Jeff had been planning her unicorn themed first birthday since at least her baptism (maybe earlier!!). However, it looked like COVID-19 was not going to allow her party to happen. With a little back and forth and figuring out details, we were able to make a miniature party happen for her in her yard. It’s seriously one of the cutest things I have seen (and it should bring you some joy in this time!).

Lilly’s side yard turned into a pink and white unicorn wonderland. With a gorgeous arch of theme colored balloons, gold boxes that spelled out “ONE”, and a “life-sized” unicorn, what more could a little girl ask for?? She even had the cutest unicorn outfits and cake to match. Lilly has grown so much since I first met her during her Fresh 48 session. It was so nice to see her so full of smiles. She loved having an intimate celebration with her mom and dad. When this pandemic is over and everyone is safe, I can’t wait to see the FULL party her parents have in store!!
