About Carowinds Winterfest

Since Carowinds opened in 1973, the park has become a popular destination for families all across the United States. The amusement park rests on 407 acres and features over 40 attractions for every level of thrill-seeker. While the rollercoasters might be the biggest draw, the park has become famous for their annual events. During October, the park is transformed into S-Carowinds and offers plenty of thrills and frights. Starting in mid-November, the park hosts Winterfest and gives your family many opportunities to celebrate the holidays however you’d like. You can find it all at 14523 Carowinds Blvd in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Winterfest Experience

The Carowinds Winterfest offers you endless activities to celebrate the holiday season. As you stroll through the park, you’ll find brilliant displays of dazzling lights. Make your way over to the Snow Flake Lake Ice Skating rink in Celebration Plaza to glide around the ice. After you’re done, head into the North Pole Post Office to make sure everyone can send their lists to Santa. If you’re feeling hungry, you can grab some food and drinks inside your own igloo, which has a private concierge service. You’ll be able to find Santa and Mrs. Claus and stop off for a picture. As you walk from one destination to the next, you’ll hear carolers, see markets with gifts from local artisans, and find stations to make your own crafts. As your night draws to a close, you’ll see the nightly Wonderland Parade that goes throughout the entire park.
