Randolph Arts Guild
The Randolph Arts Guild is an important part of the Asheboro community, with a mission to “develop, coordinate, and promote activities for the citizens of Randolph County to educate, foster appreciation, and provide for self-expression of the arts.” One of their most successful events is the Fall Festival, held on the first Saturday in October every year.
This fall is the 48th annual Fall Festival near Greensboro! Artists and artisans with creative and unique crafts and products gather to share their work with festival attendees for an art-driven celebration of the season. Wander through booths in Historic Downtown Asheboro, browsing beautiful, one-of-a-kind artwork, all while supporting local creators!
In addition to beautiful artwork, there will be plenty of live music, delicious food vendors, and so much more. It’s a true festival where people can gather, appreciate interesting art, and celebrate the beautiful autumn season.
Last year, the Fall Festival had to be canceled due to Hurricane Ian, so there’s even more anticipation regarding the festival’s return this year. Another welcome change for this year’s festival is its transition from a two-day festival to a single-day festival. Instead of trying to spread the love across two days, the Randolph Arts Guild has jam-packed every moment of one special day with the best food, art, and music the area has to offer.
NC Folk Festival
After hosting the National Folk Festival for three years, from 2015 to 2017, the community came together to create the North Carolina Folk Festival in 2018! It carries on the traditions of honoring the multicultural musical and artistic contributions of many nations, races, and languages equally. It isn’t simply a celebration of American folk culture but folk culture from around the world.
This Greensboro fall festival takes place each September and features over 300 artists and continuous performances over the course of three days. Attendees can enjoy performances of music and dance, handmade crafts, food, and lots of family fun. There are events like open mic and music workshops, film screenings, and public dances! This year is the first-ever FolkFest5K, a race to help raise money in support of the festival.
The North Carolina Folk Festival honors and celebrates the ways in which cultures around the world express their creativity and cultural traditions. The entire festival is rooted in a deep respect for diversity, and they’ve created an environment where every culture is welcome to share the creative space. When you come to enjoy a concert, you may hear folk music inspired by klezmer or jazz or watch an artist from Venezuela, South Africa, or Ireland.

FAB FESTIVAL
Here in Reidsville, FAB stands for three things – Food, Art, and Brew! The City of Reidsville, North Carolina, is committed to putting the “unity” in “community” through special events and celebrations, and the FAB Festival is no exception.
The FAB Festival is the perfect place for Greensboro families, friends, and neighbors to gather and enjoy some of the area’s best food, drinks, and art this fall! Browse booths of artists selling their artwork, crafts, jewelry, fashion accessories, pottery, home and garden decor, and so much more. Then, once you’ve shopped and you’re ready to drop, it’s time to hit the food trucks for a delicious meal, like a hearty hot dog or some mouthwatering barbecue. Friends with a sweet tooth, never fear – there are treats like snow cones and funnel cakes for you, too!
You can’t spell “FAB” without the “B!” Throughout the event, local breweries will be set up to sell and serve their signature beers to thirsty festival-goers in need of refreshment.
Admission to the festival is totally free – just bring your wallet to buy any artwork, food, or drinks you may find! Bring your lawn chairs, too, so you can set up a spot to sit back and enjoy the day. There will be downtown Reidsville shops offering great deals as a part of the festival, and at 5 p.m., local music group The Tams will be putting on a free concert for everyone to enjoy!
Ramseur Fall Festival
Ramseur, North Carolina, is a quaint, friendly town with a population of only 1,700. Like something out of a picture book, the downtown historic district offers a true small-town atmosphere. There’s a pharmacy, doctor’s offices, a grocery store, a hardware store, and church bells that ring out every hour. With a charming Main Street and rows of lovely Victorian homes, Ramseur exemplifies small-town living.
The Ramseur Fall Festival takes place on Main Street amongst the historic business buildings a short drive from Greensboro.
